GRAMMY-nominated and 4x #1 hitmaker, John Morgan delivers country music with a blue-collar edge rooted in the only life he knows. Raised in Sylva, North Carolina — a small town in the Great Smoky Mountains — he grew up playing bluegrass festivals in his family band.

Now a “Music City songwriting star” (Tennessean) and “in-demand song crafter” (Billboard), John has written 16 songs for Jason Aldean alone — including #1 smashes “Trouble With A Heartbreak,” “Whiskey Drink,” and the GRAMMY®-nominated “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood. His songs have also been recorded by Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch, and Thomas Rhett. After years behind the scenes, John’s breakout moment came with his debut single “Friends Like That (feat. Jason Aldean),” which shot to #1 at country radio — earning him his fourth #1 as a songwriter and first as an artist.

That momentum continues with his debut album Carolina Blue, out now. A blend of raw storytelling and small-town soul, the project features the rising single “Kid Myself,” currently climbing the charts. Having already played the Grand Ole Opry and toured with Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Riley Green, ERNEST, Nate Smith and more, he’s now headlining his own 2025 “Friends Like That” Tour this fall. Proving he’s not just one of Nashville’s most sought-after songwriters — he’s one of its next big stars.
