MEDIA STATEMENT REGARDING STATUS OF 2020 BOONVILLE ONEIDA COUNTY FAIR
It is with much regret after lengthy discussion, the Board of Directors of the Boonville Oneida County Fair have the made the very tough decision to cancel the 2020 Boonville Oneida County Fair scheduled for July 28th thru August 2. Our concern is first and foremost with the safety and well being of each and every person or attends and volunteers to make each years’ fair a success. It’s impossible for us to adhere to all the CDC standards and recommendations and still provide a safe and entertaining event.
The Boonville Oneida County Fair first opened it gates in 1888 and has continually entertained thousands of people over the many years. The only other time the fair did not open was in the year 1943 (WWII).
Please know we plan on opening for the 2021 season with tentative dates of July 27 thru August 1. Stay healthy, stay safe and hopefully we will see you all next year.
